Our Most Successful Trip to the Lake

Brax and Mase were saying, "I'm gonna task it out!"  We kept telling them it's CAST not TASK.  They never figured it out.  "Can you task it for me?"
About 3 seconds after Mason cast his line into the water, he caught the first fish of the day!!
We told him our rule: HE WHO CATCHES THE FIRST FISH, KISSES THE FIRST FISH.  He said no way.
A chain reaction was set into motion after the first fish.  Preston was constantly baiting, and getting fish off the hooks.  There was no time to sit down between fish.  Preston and I had our own poles in the water, but neither one of us caught anything.  But the trusty 'ole Lightning McQueen and Buzz Lightyear poles were fish magnets.
After they each caught their second fish, I took pictures of them with 2 fingers, thinking that would be all they'd catch.
The smirk on his face says it all.  He only has trouble on his mind.
It was exhausting trying to keep this little guy out of the water.  At one point Mason yelled, "Mom!  Braylon's shoe is floating away!!"  I looked at the water, and sure enough, there was a tiny little shoe floating away.  He had taken his shoe off and threw it in the water, then headed in after it.
The final fish count:  Braxton 4   Mason 5.  It was by far our most fun fishing trip.  But now they tell people they are better at fishing than their DadCould be true, numbers don't lie.
