We camped with some friends at a Lehman Caves campground, toured the caves, and went on a hike at the base of Wheelers Peak. It was a blast!
The kids did really well through the caves. None of them got scared, even when we turned off all the flashlights and it was pitch black. It was fun to go through the caves with a bunch of kids. They pointed EVERYTHING out and got so excited around every turn! We had to split our group into 2 because there were so many of us. Our group had Cole and Heather with their 3 kids, and Russ and Megan with their 2. The other group had Ruben and Katie with their 2 kids, Will and Tasha with 4, and Clint and Jeannie with 3.
After the caves tour, we went on a short hike to see the entrance Lehman found. One of my boys is always kissing one of Megan's girls:) If not Mason and Paisley, it's Braylon and Hattie.
Then we went to the Cafe/Gift Shop in the Visitors Center for ice cream!
We had fun just hanging out around camp. Kids entertained themselves, and always had a game to play or something to pretend.
We hiked to a lake at the base of Wheelers Peak. We were skipping rocks and taking pictures when someone said "Danielle?" I turned around and there was Preston's cousin Kyle and his Wife Lisa with their daughter. It was crazy to run into them there! The odds of us going to the same place on the same weekend, at the same time-crazy! Turns out they were in the 2nd group with our friends in the caves tour. I'm pretty sure they photo bombed my friends a few times:) It was good to see them!
