New Years Day 2013

I have to add this now, because I forgot to do it in an earlier post. Preston's UHP party for his section had an ugly sweater contest. We dug through closets at my Grandma Bradshaw's house and Preston found an old B-Step (drill team) sweater. It was about 10 sizes too small, very ichy, and ended up almost being a belly shirt. But Preston wore it proudly, and won. The prize was an ugly Christmas pillow to go with his ugly sweater. Then a few minutes later, the Lieutenant announced the recipient of the Trooper of the Year award for section 11. Preston was selected as trooper of the year! The poor guy was so embarrassed to have to get his award and picture taken while wearing the hideous sweater. But he was a good sport about it, and tried to cover his little belly. The sweater itself really isn't ugly, but Preston made it look pretty bad. Sorry baby. A big chunk of New Years day was spent tubing at Eagle Point. Braxton and Mason loved it! I was nervous to let them go down alone, because the hill was so steep, but they didn't even hesitate. Preston's Mom took care of Braylon, and he fell asleep in the tube. It was so cute! My brothers Ethan and Kaydon came with us too. Kaydon, Kaylee, and Alex skied, Wayne and Shanna watched and took care of Braylon, and the rest of us rode down the tubing hill time after time. Braxton, Jordyn, and Mason liked racing people down the hill. They would get excited and end up spinning out of control. We had the hill to ourselves until the last hour, which was really nice. When we had all the fun we could take, we walked to the cabin for some taco soup, cinnamon rolls, and hot chocolate. Most of us stayed at the cabin one more night before heading home. It was so much fun, and good to spend time with Preston's family!!
